Sesquicentennial: Pop Up Museum

Event Type: Adults
Date: 9/16/2017
Start Time: 11:00 AM
End Time: 1:00 PM
Join us for a pop-up exhibit, made up entirely of items brought by YOU! Bring your memorabilia or artifacts representing Churches & Neighborhoods in Lake Charles. Your items will be on display during this event and you will be encouraged to talk about your items with others who attend. Ideas to get you started on this theme: church buildings or iconic buildings representing a neighborhood, leaders who made a difference to a neighborhood, church bazaars or performances, block parties, trick-or-treating, best yard awards, haunted houses, neighborhoods no longer existing, neighborhood hangout, etc.

A Pop Up Museum is a temporary exhibit created by the
people who show up to participate. Think of it as a community "show & tell." Items can be as simple as a drawing or as priceless as a family heirloom. At the end of the program, the items go back home with their owners.
