 Daniel Goff, Boone County's only African American Revolutionary War Veteran, will be recognized for his service with a memorial marker. Pvt. Goff survived the brutal winter encampment at Valley Forge and fought at the Battle of Monmouth with General George Washington and Marquis de Lafayette. This event is presented by the BCPL Local History Department and the Boone County Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Free shuttle service to and from dedication site will be located at the Florence Baptist Church- Mt. Zion location starting at 1p. Please Register.
