Students will create a wood carving using basic techniques. Students will finish their project in the Part 2 session on Feb. 2.

A $10 material fee per person would cover wood,paint and materials for both classes. To register, visit the library's Public Computing Room attendant. Payment is due upon registration. Instructor Terry Kipling retired in 2006 after teaching woodworking for 35 years. He has been carving for 24 years. He received the Eli Lilly Foundation Teacher Creativity Grant in 1996 and 2003 to attend wood carving and wood painting classes. He has studied under many professional artists, including; Jim Sprankle, Gary Eigenburger, Victor Paroyan, Keith Mueller and Pat Godin.
