Springfield’s downtown area, once the center of all aspects of life in the city, has a rich history. Stephanie Martin, a Sangamon Valley Collection Librarian, will provide an overview of this evolving area in a program called, "The Birth, Death, and Rebirth of Downtown Springfield: Marrying Development, Preservation, and Workforce." This program is part of the “Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow” Town Hall Series presented by the Illinois Bicentennial Coordinating Committee of Springfield.
