Several years after his wife's death, best-selling author Mike Noonan is still battling writer's block. When he decides to visit to his Maine summerhouse called Sara Laughs, he is quickly caught up in a custody battle involving the daughter of a young widow and the child's wealthy grandfather. He also finds that Sara Laughs may be haunted and may want something from him.
