Join the library in celebrating April as National Poetry and Jazz Appreciation Month. Tampa’s poet laureate James Tokley, Sr. will read original poetry, accompanied by double bassist Lloyd Goldstein, along with the winners of the Lit Wit Humorous Poetry Contest who will be invited to read their winning poems. Mr. Tokley’s poem The Song of the Hillsborough is featured on public art by local folk artist Mr. B throughout the library.
