On January 1, 2014, the first public library in Hillsborough County, the West Tampa Branch Library, will celebrate its 100th Anniversary! Public libraries have been changing lives and transforming communities in Hillsborough County for nearly a century. Enjoy the day's festivities featuring music and dance performances, kids' games and crafts, face painting and balloon animals and more. Refreshments include popcorn, lemonade and, of course, birthday cake.
