Ready, Set, Read!

Bolingbrook middle school students, read to win books for your school library media center!

Three middle schools in Bolingbrook will win a paperback book collection for their library media center, courtesy of the Friends of Fountaindale. The number of pages read and student participation will both be used to calculate the winning school. The top classroom will also receive a collection of the current Rebecca Caudill nominees and a $100 gift card for a class pizza party.

Great Page Race Contest Rules

  • Students will keep track of their reading from Monday, September 12—Monday, October 31.

  • Students will log the number of book pages read during independent reading time at home and at school. Classroom read-alouds or stories read as a class do not count. Students should log half the page count when recording graphic novels. For example, a 300 page graphic novel should be logged as 150 pages.

  • Students must log a minimum of 5 pages of reading to be considered a participant.

  • Students should only log reading completed during the program (i.e. Monday, September 12 – Monday, October 31, 2016).

  • The last day to log reading is Monday, October 31, 2016 by 9:00 p.m.

Please contact Randi Carreno, Teen Librarian, for additional information or to request paper reading logs.
