Event Details

Many of us have concerns about the effects of climate change on Earth, but we often overlook the essential issue of human health. Join us for an evening with local author & GFHS Class of '89 grad, Jay Lemery, MD as he discusses his book, Enviromedics, and the impact of climate change on human health. Dr. Jay Lemery is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and is the Section Chief of Wilderness and Environmental Medicine in the Department of Emergency Medicine. Dr Lemery attended Dartmouth Medical School and was chief resident in Emergency Medicine at NYU/Bellevue. He currently holds academic appointments at the Weill Cornell Medical College and the Harvard School of Public Health where he is a Contributing Editor for its Journal Health and Human Rights. He is a graduate of Glens Falls High School. This program is part of our Explore Earth series. Be sure to visit the hands-on traveling exhibit, Explore Earth: Our Changing Planet on the 2nd floor of the Library.
