Event Details

Tom Connelly Akstens is an engaging performer and dynamic interpreter of the American folk and blues tradition. His new album Flow (2016) is a genre-busting collection of original songs that expand on that tradition. This album has some rockers and some quiet songs - but they all share themes of 3 things that flow: water, music and time. "Witty, impeccable musicianship and spanking clean phrasing in an album that took my breath away. The energy bursts off the speakers" -The Chronicle. "The flame just keeps burning brighter. A delight!" -Sarah Craig/Caffe Lena. This 12-part Spring season of concerts is produced by the Folklife Center at Crandall Public Library, and funded in part by the Friends of Crandall Public Library, and the New York State Council on the Arts - Folk Arts Program.
