Event Details

In 2016 we celebrate the 100th birthday of our National Park Service. America's national parks are a model for the rest of the world, and we have plenty to be proud of. From Maine's rocky coast to Florida's everglades, through the great plains and badlands, to the mountains and deserts of the west, and on to the unique habitats of Alaska and Hawaii, the stunning beauty of our landscapes and fascinating diversity of wildlife are preserved through our National Park System. In this program we offer a photo" tour" of our parks from coast to coast. We provide an in-depth look at these great places, from the popular large parks to the smaller and lesser known national monuments. Each is unique and each is eminently worth protecting. We'll also touch on some of the challenges that they face as we move into the second century of protecting some of America's greatest assets.
