Event Details

Ozere takes equal inspiration from chamber groups and folk bands. It’s what happens when you bring together musicians who play bluegrass, Celtic, jazz, Klezmer, Afro Cuban, classical and more. This Canadian band is Jessica Deutsch (violin/vocals), Adrian Gross (mandolin/guitar), Lydia Munchinsky (cello), Bret Higgins (bass), Emily Rockarts (vocals). Drawing comparisons to the Goat Rodeo Sessions and Tin Hat Trio, Ozere has garnered a following of loyal fans. They released their debut EP, Three Generations, in April 2013, and their debut full-length album in October 2015, Finding Anyplace. “With its fine musicians, well-crafted songs and arrangements, and incredible variety, this is definitely a CD to recommend and a band to watch” –Annette Sanger/The Whole Note. www.ozere.ca Hosted by the Folklife Center at Crandall Public Library, and funded in part by the Friends of Crandall Public Library and the New York State Council on the Arts-Folk Arts Program, with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.
