Event Details

Low Lily (formerly Annalivia) is a string and vocal trio that explores the roots and branches of American folk music with traditional influences and modern inspiration that weaves together a unique brand of acoustic music. Liz Simmons (vocals and guitar), Flynn Cohen (vocals, guitar, mandolin), and Lissa Schneckenburger (vocals, fiddle) are masterful players with deep relationships to traditional music styles ranging from bluegrass, to Irish, Scottish, New England, and Old Time Appalachian sounds. When you combine this with stellar composition skills and inventive arrangements you get music that is rooted yet contemporary. "A band definitely on the up. Sweet harmonies... tight arrangements... divine" - Fatea (UK). www.lowlily.com This free concert is produced by the Folklife Center at Crandall Public Library and funded in part by the Friends of Crandall Public Library and the New York State Council on the Arts - Folk Arts Program with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the NYS Legislature.
