Alex Smith grew up in the heart of the Adirondacks, the son of a boatbuilder and a historian. He started to write songs at the age of 12 drawing inspiration from his rural community. Promoting a sense of pride in one’s traditions, while also addressing the issues of modern times is the backbone of Smith’s original music. Hamilton County is his 3rd album. “Alex is a natural storyteller with a rich voice who is creating poignant songs rooted in the heritage of his Adirondack home –Caffe Lena.
