Calling all lovers of art, coffee (or tea) connoisseurs and bookworms alike! If you enjoy painting, savoring freshly brewed tea or coffee and losing yourself in the pages of a good book, then this is the class for you! Adirondack Creative Works will provide all the supplies and inspiration needed to create a 12"x12" painting. Coffee, tea and other light refreshments provided. Please note this is a non-alcoholic event.
Whether you want to create a pollinator plot or add just a few plants, there are practices you can incorporate into any sized garden to support our local pollinators. Meghan Kerr, Community Horticulture Coordinator, will discuss some of our native pollinators along with ways to support them with native plantings.
Create a personalized
drinking glass with the Cricut! Cut a simple design in vinyl to use as a
stencil for etching cream. All materials and safety equipment supplied. All skill levels are welcome, but some familiarity with Design
Space is helpful.
Please
bring a laptop or tablet that is compatible with Design
Space (no
Chromebooks). Crandall has a very limited number of laptops available. Please
note in the reservation if you would like to borrow one and we will try to
accommodate you.
Anyone
who has a Cricut or ideas to share, please bring them! If you have your
own Cricut and laptop/device that you would like to bring, contact Autumn
directly.
Find out how to boost your garden’s productivity while reducing your landfill waste at the same time from Bill Richmond of Adirondack Worm Farm. He will cover the benefits of composting, explain the science behind how those red wigglers create their castings, and how to start your own worm bin.
This month we will create a fun bird themed ornament that celebrates Adirondack birds and our connection to nature. Patrons will create their own individual egg-shaped ornaments complimented with crystal glitter and images of Adirondack birds of your choice. This craft session is a great way to engage with others in a calm atmosphere and promote our connection to others and the world we live in. Registration required. Back by popular demand are terraria! This time we will create a summer sand themed terrarium. Bring your own glass jar and sand from whatever beautiful beach you’ve visited and learn to create a beautiful sand layered terrarium and decorate with sea glass, air plant and sea shells. Supplies will be provided; we encourage you to bring whatever materials you have. Light snacks provided and registration is required.
After a summer of sun and fun join us to make some DIY body scrubs. This easy craft is a great way to end a summer of Wellness and adventure by enjoying the luxurious scent and feeling of a homemade body scrub. Varieties will include cool cucumber mint, pina colada, and a foot sand scrub. Participants will create their own sugar or foot sand scrubs. Materials provided and light snacks.
