Event Type: Adult Program
Age Group(s): Adult
Date: 1/18/2018
Start Time: 4:00 PM
End Time: 5:00 PM
Description:
Are you interested in volunteering at the library in rewarding one-on-one tech coaching sessions? Attend this Orientation session to find out more about volunteering as a Tech Helper at the library. We offer Tech Basics Coaching sessions to our patrons every Wednesday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and every second Saturday from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Librarians and Volunteer Tech Helpers coach patrons in half hour sessions on basic tech skills including using mobile devices or computers, Internet skills, setting up email and other social media accounts, and downloading or streaming free library digital material. If you are not familiar with the Library's digital resources, we are happy to teach you how to coach others on their use. We ask for a three month commitment, and volunteer time from 2-8 hours a month. Volunteer Tech Helpers are essential in offering this rewarding community service!
