Are you planning to participate in NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) this November, or are you simply curious about the art of writing? The Bellingham Public Library is hosting a series of "Local Author Spotlights" in the SkillShare Space at the Central Library during the month of October. The programs will feature a local author sharing their experiences with writing, getting published, and tips and tricks of the trade. Bring your questions and your curiosity! Thom Carnell will be the featured author on Tuesday, October 11th. Thom Carnell's fiction has been featured in CARPE NOCTEM Magazine, the horror anthology, BLOODY CARNIVAL from Pill Hill Press, SWANK magazine and in his debut novel NO FLESH SHALL BE SPARED. As a journalist, his interviews and profiles can be found in CARPE NOCTEM Magazine (for which he served as Head Writer and Creative Consultant), FANGORIA Magazine, Dread Central.com and Twitchfilm.com. He was a Senior Programmer/Panelist for Seattle’s ZomBCon, Crypticon, and a host of other conventions. A graduate of the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science, Carnell is also a certified eye enucleist and Registered Polysomnographic Technologist, which gives him plenty of reference material for his popular "Ask An Embalmer" panels. His novel, NO FLESH SHALL BE SPARED, is available vie Amazon or at www.zedpresents.com. Ebook and audiobooks available via Crossroad Press. A short story collection will be published later this year. He’s also one of the hosts of the weekly film discussion on "The Bonus Material Podcast" (iTunes, Stitcher, YouTube.) www.thomcarnell.com “No one has done more for legitimizing the beauty of the horror genre than Thom Carnell.” – Clive Barker, author/director: BOOKS OF BLOOD, LORD OF ILLUSION, HELLRAISER “…NO FLESH SHALL BE SPARED trumps pretty much every summer action movie released over the past few years in terms of muscular, rambunctious fun. A peek into a lesser-explored dimension of the zombie mythos is always welcome, and if you perhaps know of any real fourteen-year-old-boys that you’d like to see put down the game controller and dig into an actually book, buy them NO FLESH SHALL BE SPARED now and thank FANGORIA later.” – Fangoria
