LOCATION: Whatcom Middle School Auditorium (810 Halleck Street) Listen to Newbery Honor author Eugene Yelchin talk about "How Reading Banned Books Saved My Life: Growing up in Stalinist Russia." "Breaking Stalin's Nose" and "Arcady's Goal" are books about choices, fathers, soccer, and freedom. Come hear the author of these incredible books as he describes his childhood in the Soviet Union and how reading helped him survive. Everyone is welcome! This is a free event - no tickets required. There will be an author signing after the program.
