French historian and UF Professor, Sheryl Kroen will discuss the phenomenon of Julia Child but will also use the opportunity to introduce the audience to the Paris Julia Child discovered when she went to France for the first time just after WWII. This event is part of "GASTRONOMIE FRANCAISE A GAINESVILLE" in cooperation with The Alliance Française de Gainesville and the University of Florida Center for European Studies.
