 Author event with Sarah Manguso. Sarah Manguso is the author of four books, most recently the memoir The Two Kinds of Decay, named an Editors' Choice by the New York Times Sunday Book Review and a Book of the Year by the San Francisco Chronicle. She is also the author of the story collection Hard to Admit and Harder to Escape, one of three volumes in McSweeney's One Hundred and Forty-Five Stories in a Small Box. Her poetry collections are Siste Viator and The Captain Lands in Paradise, which was named a Favorite Book of the Year by the Village Voice. She won the Rome Prize in 2008. After several years at the Pratt Institute, she now teaches creative writing in the graduate program at Columbia. She lives in Brooklyn.
